Donovan Mitchell's Actions on Cavaliers Bench During Game 4 Blowout
No one can fault Donovan Mitchell for what happened to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals.
The seven-time All-Star left it all on the floor for the Cavs in what turned out to be an embarrassing 4-0 series sweep at the hands of the New York Knicks.
In Game 4 on Monday, Mitchell erupted for a game-high 31 points in just 32 minutes of action. It was far from enough as Cleveland suffered a season-ending blowout loss, 130-93.
A video of an animated Mitchell on the Cavs bench is currently circulating online. In it, the 6-foot-2 combo guard is seen doing everything he can to rally the troops amid the one-sided affair.

At this point in the game, all hope was not lost for Cleveland just yet. They were down big, but Mitchell did everything in his power to light a fire under his teammates. It did not work.
The Cavs waived the white flag at the 8:37 mark of the fourth quarter as head coach Kenny Atkinson took out his starters for the rest of the contest. They were down 33 points.
Nobody stepped up for the Cavs on Monday outside of Mitchell. Evan Mobley chipped in with 15 points and seven rebounds. James Harden, however, logged just 12 points on 2-of-8 shooting and 0-of-6 from the field.
It's the end of the line for Mitchell and the Cavs, who are going to have a very interesting offseason ahead. He is entering the final guaranteed year of his current contract with Cleveland. The two-time All-NBA guard has a player option for the 2027-28 season.
