Local Roundup: St. Pat's baseball advances to semifinals

St. Pat's 5, St. Helena 4
The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High baseball team advanced to the North Coast Section Division 5 semifinals by defeating St. Helena 5-4 on the road Friday night.
The Bruins move on to play top-seeded Montgomery on Tuesday.
St. Pat's was led in the quarterfinals' win by Xavier Brewer, who had a double and three RBI. Pitcher Royce Pennington threw 3 and 1/3 innings and gave up no earned runs while striking out five. He also had an RBI and a stolen base on offense. Madden Mendez had a hit and scored a run.
Softball
Healdsburg 11, St. Pat's 8
The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High softball team lost to Healdsburg 11-8 in the second round of the North Coast Section Division 6 playoffs on Friday.
Taylor Etchieson, Alliana Jones and Gabriella Wida each had two hits for St. Pat's, while Jaquelyn Benito had two stolen bases. Alondra Barba had a hit and an RBI.
St. Pat's finishes the season with an overall record of 12-12.
San Ramon Valley 6, American Canyon 3
The American Canyon High softball team lost its North Coast Section Division 1 second-round playoff matchup with San Ramon Valley 6-3 on Friday.
The Wolves were led in the loss by Kate Sosa, who had two hits, including a double to go with an RBI. She pitched six innings and gave up four earned runs while striking out five.
Ianna Lobao also had two hits, while Raquel Winterburn and Madison Del Castillo each had a hit and an RBI.
American Canyon finishes with an overall record of 20-4.
