Redwood (24-3-1) scored four runs in the first inning and added three more over the final two innings for the comfortable win.

Redwood starter Jack Moseley, a Santa Clara commit, fired a complete-game shutout with four strikeouts, two walks and just two hits and one unearned run allowed.

The Wildcats lost an early lead and then nearly rallied late, but the Colts hung on down the stretch to advance in the section playoffs on Friday night.
Ukiah (14-13) scored six runs in the bottom of the first and led 7-2 through three innings, but James Logan (16-10) rallied back with eight unanswered runs, highlighted by a six-run fifth inning, to take a 10-7 lead to the seventh.
The Wildcats staged a last-ditch rally but ended the game with the bases loaded.
George Gibbs led the offensive effort for Ukiah, doubling and tripling with two RBIs, while Conner Cleary had two hits, including a double, with an RBI. Beau David, Ivan Castro and Ollie Adams all added a hit and an RBI.

The Vikings put up some crooked numbers as they rallied out of an early hole to advance to the section semifinals for the first time since 2016.
Facing a 4-1 deficit, Montgomery (16-10-1) plated nine runs in the bottom of the third inning to take the lead for good. They put the game to bed with four more runs in the bottom of the sixth, with an RBI single from Salvador "Bug" Pedroza ending the game via run rule.

Tyler Agapoff had two hits with an RBI, Adam Herdell and Julian Earls each had a hit with an RBI, Charlie Blaum doubled with a run scored and Kai Blasingame had two hits with a run scored.
