Taylor Swift Had Hilarious Reaction to Steelers' Legend Jerome Bettis

Taylor Swift has openly talked about how clueless she was about football before entering a relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce three years ago. Now, the 14-time Grammy winner is a passionate NFL fan.

“I didn’t know what a first down was,” Swift said on the record-breaking “New Heights” podcast with Kelce and his brother, retired Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce, last August. “I didn’t know what the chains were. I didn’t know what a tight end was.”

“I am forever thankful for you diving into the football world wholeheartedly,” Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl champion, said.

“Oh, my god, I fell in love with it,” Swift said. “I became obsessed with it. I became a person who was running through the halls of my house, screaming, ‘We drafted Xavier Worthy!'”

Swift has come a long way, but she still had no clue about Hall of Fame Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jerome Bettis.

To open this week’s “New Heights” episode, Jason said he was about to attend Bettis’ annual Blue and Gold Classic charitable golf tournament.

“He is just the [expletive] best dude ever,” Travis said. “I ran into him. I think he was actually down in Florida doing a foundation event, and I got to run into him at dinner. I was like telling Tay about him. I was like, ‘That dude was a [expletive] beast. He was [expletive] running dudes over. And then I showed her a Jerome Bettis highlight tape, and she was like, ‘Why does he look like an offensive lineman running with the football?’ I’m just like, ‘Because he was ‘The Bus’!”

Kelce and Swift have been engaged since last August. Kelce proposed shortly after the recording of their “New Heights” episode, which also served as the announcement of Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl” album. Page Six reported in April that they will get married in New York City on July 3.

Kelce will play at least one more season with the Chiefs after signing a new contract in March. As is, he’s the franchise’s all-time leader in career receiving yards (13,002), career receptions (1,080), and career receiving touchdowns (82).
