Beloved Colorado Football Reporter Adam Munsterteiger Has Sadly Passed Away

The Colorado football team received devastating news this Wednesday morning.

It was revealed in April that longtime reporter Adam Munsterteiger was dealing with a health-related issue. His wife, Liz, revealed that he passed away Tuesday night. He was surrounded by "love and family."

Munsterteiger built quite a legacy as the publisher of BuffStampede.com, a role that he's held since 2003. His written reports and podcast helped BuffStampede.com become the top Colorado site for nearly two decades.

"Incredibly sad day for all of us in media and the friends and family of @adamcm777," On3 founder Shannon Terry wrote. "Adam is as good as they come. He ran a market-leading fan site and was both a publisher and a talent. Was just an incredible human in every way. He will be missed. So sad. RIP, Adam."

"Heartbroken about losing Adam," Colorado beat writer Brian Howell said. "I've been covering the Buffs for 16 years and he's been there the whole time. We covered a lot of football games together and became good friends along the way. I loved sharing this beat with him and will miss him terribly. Rest in peace, my friend!"

Deion Sanders offers his prayers to Munsterteiger's family.

Colorado coach Deion Sanders wasted no time sending his thoughts and prayers to Munsterteiger's loved ones this Wednesday.

"Let's stop taking this day for granted! Someone waaay more deserving didn't wake up this morning but we did and we somehow take this gift for granted. Today is a gift therefore let's live it being appreciative & kind. God bless u," Sanders wrote on social media.

"We appreciated u @adamcm777 and respected u truly. Thank u for being u and I'm praying for entire family, friends & loved ones. Adam is 1 of 1. God bless!"

Sanders clearly had respect for Munsterteiger's work in Boulder over the past few years.

Our thoughts are with Munsterteiger's friends and family members. May he rest in peace.
