Report: Chiefs WR Rashee Rice Is Headed To Jail

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is once again making headlines for the wrong reasons.

Rice was suspended for the first six games of the 2025 season due to a car accident that occurred in Dallas on March 30, 2024. He pleaded guilty to a pair of third-degree felony charges of collision involving serious bodily injury.

Earlier this year, Rice's ex-girlfriend, Dacoda Jones, made domestic violence accusations online. The NFL investigated the allegations and determined that Rice didn't violate the personal conduct policy. As a result, he was on track to avoid any potential discipline. That was before new information was made public this week.

Matt Foster of KSHB 41 News broke the news Tuesday that Rice violated his probation by testing positive for marijuana.

Rice has been ordered to serve 30 days in jail. As a result, he'll miss OTAs and mandatory minicamp for the Chiefs.

There's a good chance the NFL will consider disciplining Rice yet again.

Chiefs fans are officially done with Rashee Rice.

After this news was made public, Chiefs fans went on social media to air out their thoughts. Most of them want Rice off the roster before Week 1 arrives.

"Get him off the team," a Chiefs fan said. "I'm sick of him."

"Can he be cut already," another Kansas City fan wrote.

"That's it," a third fan said. "I'm done Cut him."

"It genuinely doesn't ever stop with him. We need another WR in the room. Good grief," a fan commented.

Rice, a former second-round pick, has 156 career receptions for 1,797 yards and 14 touchdowns. Although he's flashed superstar potential at times, he's been unable to stay out of trouble.
