Deion Sanders Sends Strong Message About Browns GM Andrew Berry

Shedeur Sanders is entering his second season with the Cleveland Browns, which means his father - and former college coach - Deion Sanders still has strong ties to the organization as he continues supporting his son's NFL career.

And it appears Deion thinks very highly of the Browns organization, especially general manager Andrew Berry, who ultimately gave Shedeur an opportunity after he slid to the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft.

Deion delivered strong praise for Berry and the work he has done building the roster.

"You've got a GM that I adore. Like I really do," Sanders said. "I think he gets it bad because he's a brother, for one. But secondly, because they haven't won, but you've got to understand most of the time the GMs and head coaches are married together. But Mr. Berry, he's done a phenomenal job with acquiring talent. Phenomenal, to me."

Sanders also praised the Haslam family, who own the Browns, for genuinely wanting to win.

"I love the ownership. They do care, they want to win. They really want to win," Deion Sanders said. "I know that for a fact. And I know the heart of Andrew Berry. He wants to win at all costs."

This will be Berry's seventh season as general manager of the Browns, and it's fair to say the pressure is beginning to build.

Cleveland fired head coach Kevin Stefanski at the end of last season and replaced him with Todd Monken, while the franchise still has not won a playoff game since 2021 - Berry's second year with the organization.
