College notebook: Host of SRJC swimmers earn All-American honors
The Santa Rosa Junior College swimming and diving team took home a bundle of All-American and All-Conference honors as their 2026 campaign came to a close last week.
For the women, sophomore Addison Klosevitz, sophomore Natascha Deadman, freshman Jessica Kraemer and freshman Davanee "DJ" Mancuso each earned All-American accolades.
Klosevitz, a Montgomery grad, was All-American in five events – the 500 free, 1,650 free, 200 fly, 400 individual medley, 200 and 400 medley relays – and her times all ranked in the top 15 in the nation. She was also a first-team all-Big 8 conference selection and an Academic All-American.
Deadman, a Petaluma grad, was recognized as an All-American in four events – the 100 breast, 200 breast and 200 and 400 medley relays. Her 100 breast time of 1 minute, 6.88 seconds ranked No. 8 in the nation. She was also a first-team all-Big 8 honoree and an Academic All-American.
Kraemer, a Ukiah grad, was All-American in four events – the 50 back, 200 back and 200 and 400 medley relays – and was an Academic All-American.
And Mancuso, out of Lodi High School, was All-American in the 200 and 400 medley relays.
For the men, freshman Bryson Throm, sophomore brothers Phoenix and Kai Holt, freshman Ryker Lichtenberg and freshman Lance Wogsland earned All-American honors.
Throm, out of Willows High School, was an All-American in five events – the 50 back, 100 back, 200 back and 400 and 800 medley relays. He also set the school record in the 100 IM with a time of 54.66 and was a first-team all-Big 8 selection.
Kai Holt, a Maria Carrillo grad, was an All-American in four events – the 1,650 free, 200 fly and 400 medley relay and 800 free relay. His 1,650 free time of 16:42.39 ranked No. 15 in the nation and he was also a first-team all-Big 8 selection and Academic All-American.
Phoenix Holt, also a Maria Carrillo grad, earned All-American accolades in three events – the 400 IM, the the 400 medley relay and the 800 free relay – and was an Academic All-American.
Lichtenberg, out of Marysville Getchell High School in Maryland, was an All-American in the 800 Free Relay while Wogsland, out of Truckee High School, was an All-American in the 400 medley relay.
Freshman Laini Pradels, a Montgomery grad, and freshman Delaney Reynold, a Technology grad, were also both all-conference honorees on the women's side.
SRJC softball
The SRJC softball team was set to begin its appearance in the California Community College Athletic Association's state championship tournament on Thursday night in the first trip to the state finals for the program since 1982.
The Bear Cubs (25-18) are the No. 4 seed from the North and will face South No. 1 seed Palomar (41-2) in their opening game. Palomar is the CCCAA state runner-up last season and finished the 2026 regular season ranked No. 2 in the state.
Whether win or lose, SRJC plays again at 2 p.m. Friday, facing either San Joaquin Delta or Long Beach.
SRJC baseball
The SRJC baseball team will begin its appearance in the CCCAA NorCal regional finals starting Friday in a best-of-three series at Ohlone College in the East Bay.
Ohlone is the No. 2 seed in the North and finished the regular season 33-6 overall and ranked No. 4 in the CCCAA. Game 1 is set for 2 p.m. Friday and Game 2 will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Game 3, if necessary, will be played at noon Sunday.
SRJC also had a number of players earn all-conference honors recently.
Sophomores JT Summers and Brett Neidlinger were named to the Big 8 first team and freshman Jayden Hunt made the second team. Summers also earned Gold Glove honors for his work on defense, alongside sophomores Caze Derammelaere and Cooper Wood.
Sophomore pitcher Myles Standish was also named the Big 8 Pitcher of the Year and sophomore Lucas Hermes also a first-team all-conference selection as a pitcher.
