See which Inland softball players are competing in the NCAA Division I Tournament

Inland softball fans tuning into this week’s NCAA softball regionals will see plenty of familiar faces on their screens.

A total of 57 players with ties to the Inland area are on rosters of teams that have qualified for this year’s Division I Tournament.

Roosevelt High School leads the way with seven players, followed closely by its Big VIII League rival Norco with six players. Chino Hills and Great Oak have five players apiece, while Murrieta Mesa and Upland each have four players.

In addition to the players, two head coaches of NCAA qualifiers also graduated from Inland high schools.

Here are the players and head coaches with Inland ties. A handful of players competed for more than one high school during their career. The school each of those players graduated from is the one listed in parenthesis.

TUSCALOOSA REGIONAL

Alabama, Southeastern Louisiana, Belmont and USC Upstate have no Inland players.

AUSTIN REGIONAL

Texas: Sophomore pitcher Cambria Salmon (Beaumont) has appeared in 15 games and is 5-0 with a 2.17 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 38 2/3 innings.

Baylor: Freshman right fielder Gianna Gusman (King) is batting .218 with 14 runs and 14 RBIs.

Wagner: Freshman Samantha Lotus (Grand Terrace) and junior Karson Zavala (Ayala) have shared pitching duties. Lotus is 10-11 with a 3.18 ERA and 81 strikeouts in 140 1/3 innings, while Zavala is 11-7 with a 3.37 ERA and 118 strikeouts in 106 innings. Senior Dallas Garcia (Chaffey) has made 11 appearances in the circle. Junior third baseman Sydnie Trujillo (Valley View) leads the team with a .400 average and 41 RBIs. Junior second baseman Leilani Gonzales (Vista Murrieta) is batting .317 wit 14 runs and 13 RBIs. Junior Noelle Estephan (San Dimas) has played in 10 games.

Wisconsin has no Inland players.

NORMAN REGIONAL

Oklahoma: Senior outfielder Abby Dayton (Norco) is batting .398 with eight home runs, 47 runs and 42 RBIs. Sophomore pitcher Miali Guachino (Great Oak) is 14-2 with a 3.09 ERA and 102 strikeouts in 86 innings.

Kansas, Michigan and Binghamton have no Inland players.

LINCOLN REGIONAL

Nebraska: Junior third baseman Samantha Bland (Chino Hills) is batting .298 with 29 runs and 18 RBIs. Junior Dakota Carter (Roosevelt) has appeared in 10 games as a defensive player.

Grand Canyon: Senior first baseman Emily Gonzalez (Yucaipa) is batting .321 with 12 homers and 43 RBIs.

Louisville and South Dakota have no Inland players.

FAYETTEVILLE REGIONAL

Arkansas: Freshman Kyler Del Duca (Chino Hills) has appeared in 42 games, mostly as a runner, and scored 11 runs.

Washington: Sophomore shortstop Melody Acevedo (Hillcrest) is batting .353 with 23 runs and 23 RBIs.

South Florida and Fordham have no Inland players.

GAINESVILLE REGIONAL

Florida, Texas State, Georgia Tech and Florida A&M have no Inland players.

KNOXVILLE REGIONAL

Tennessee: Freshman outfielder Taelyn Holley (Murrieta Mesa) is hitting .300 with 30 runs and 20 RBIs.

Virginia, Indiana and Northern Kentucky have no Inland players.

LOS ANGELES REGIONAL

UCLA: Junior Ramsey Suarez (Great Oak) has started 27 games and is batting . 300 with seven home runs and 33 RBIs. Sophomore Mattie Beliveau (Hillcrest) has not pitched this season.

South Carolina: Senior left fielder Quincee Lilio (Great Oak) is batting .331 with 35 runs and 18 RBIs. Junior infielder Alyssa Hovermale (Norco) has started 26 games and is batting .229 with 12 RBIs. Freshman outfielder Dakota Potter (Norco) has been limited to 13 games as a defensive player due to injury.

Cal State Fullerton: Senior catcher Alexia Lopez (Roosevelt) is batting .369 with nine home runs and 44 RBIs. Sophomore Jenna Stevens (Citrus Valley) has appeared in 23 games and knocked in five runs. Freshman Gianna Lomeli (Upland) has appeared in seven games. Freshman Isabella Lopez (Ganesha) has not pitched this season. The Titans are coached by Gina Oaks Garcia (Rancho Cucamonga).

California Baptist: Sophomore Miranda De Nava (Riverside Poly) is the staff ace, with a 19-7 record to go along with a 2.24 ERA and 172 strikeouts in 194 innings. Freshman shortstop Kenzie Farrier-Pilon (Murrieta Mesa) leads the team with a .413 average and has scored 51 runs. Senior first baseman Ashlee Annett (Roosevelt) is batting .337 with 51 RBIs. Junior left fielder Matti Severns (Norco) is hitting .324 with 51 runs and 32 steals. Junior designated player Victoria Macias (Centennial) is batting .324 with six homers and 19 RBIs. Junior Jasmine Goins (Roosevelt) has appeared in 37 games, scored eight runs and stolen four bases.

TALLAHASSEE REGIONAL

Central Florida: Junior second baseman Sierra Humphreys (Centennial) leads the team with a .390 average and 56 RBIs, and she also has hit 13 home runs and scored 46 runs. Sophomore third baseman Coco Jaimes (Riverside Poly) is batting .294 and scored 37 runs.

Jacksonville State: Freshman Jocelyn Garcia (Chino Hills) has appeared in 36 games, primarily as a runner, and has scored 17 times.

Florida State and Stetson have no Inland players.

ATHENS REGIONAL

Clemson: Sophomore Madi Lardizabal (Murrieta Mesa) has appeared in five games.

UNC Greensboro: Junior Brooklyn Shroyer (Bonita) has been the ace, compiling a 21-6 record with a 1.41 ERA and 185 strikeouts in 159 1/2 innings.

Georgia and College of Charleston have no Inland players.

LUBBOCK REGIONAL

Texas Tech: Junior catcher Jasmyn Burns (Murrieta Mesa) is batting .367 with 17 home runs and 54 RBIs. Freshman Brianna Hinson (Upland) has appeared in three games.

Ole Miss: Sophomore first baseman Persy Llamas (Roosevelt) is batting .378 with nine homers, 39 RBIs and 33 runs. Junior Alexa Rosales (Chino Hills) has made 38 appearances, mostly as a runner.

Boston and Marist have no Inland players.

DURHAM REGIONAL

Arizona: Junior center fielder Regan Shockey (Chino Hills) leads the team with a .447 average, 69 runs and 10 steals.

Howard: Junior catcher Makayla Taylor (Great Oak) is batting .296 with five homers and 28 RBIs. Junior first baseman Cheyenne Castille (Roosevelt) is hitting .339 with 18 RBIs. Freshman Mia Guerrero (Bonita) has appeared in 10 games. Freshman Jocelyn James (Great Oak) has not played this season. The Bison are coached by Tori Tyson (Corona).

Duke and Marshall have no Inland players.

STILLWATER REGIONAL

Princeton: Junior Cassidy Shaw (Heritage) is team’s top pitcher, compiling a 16-3 record with a 2.57 ERA and 102 strikeouts 117 1/3 innings.

Oklahoma State, Stanford and Eastern Illinois have no Inland players.

EUGENE REGIONAL

Oregon: Senior utility player Amari Harper (Santiago) is batting .404 with 15 home runs, 49 RBIs and 47 runs. Sophomore second baseman Kaylynn Jones (two years at Roosevelt before moving to Texas) is hitting .346 with 45 runs and 29 RBIs. Junior pitcher Taylour Spencer (Vista Murrieta) is 8-3 with a 4.78 ERA and 53 strikeouts in 55 2/3 innings.

Mississippi State: Sophomore second baseman Xiane Romero (Temescal Canyon) is batting .216 with five homers and 15 RBIs

Saint Mary’s: Senior Odhi Vasquez (Upland) is the staff ace with a 19-4 record, 2.36 ERA and 141 strikeouts in 133 2/3 innings. Her sister, freshman Kiara (Upland), has not appeared in a game this season.

Idaho State: Junior Marley Goluskin (Norco) has started 23 games in the circle and is 12-4 with a 2.54 ERA and 81 strikeouts in 107 2/3 innings.

COLLEGE STATION REGIONAL

Texas A&M: Junior first baseman Mya Perez (Norco) leads the team with a .435 average to go along with 18 homers and 52 RBIs and 52 walks.

Arizona State: Junior right fielder Ashleigh Mejia (Santiago) is hitting .323 with nine homers, 36 runs and 36 RBIs.

McNeese and UConn have no Inland players.

BATON ROUGE REGIONAL

LSU: Freshman Ci’ella Pickett (Cajon) has appeared in 17 games and is batting. 240 with four RBIs.

Virginia tech, South Alabama and Akron have no Inland players
