Carson baseball closes out regular season with Marine League title

Carson baseball wrapped up the Marine League title with a shutout sweep over Rancho Dominguez.

The Colts (22-4-1, 12-1) won the first game Monday 10-0 and concluded the regular season with a 6-0 win Thursday.

The Colts are the defending L.A. City Section Division I champion and should be one of the favorites to make another long run this season. The city section pairings will be released Saturday afternoon.

Banning finished in second place (15-11-1, 10-3), San Pedro (12-15, 7-6) in third and Narbonne (12-16, 5-8) in fourth.

Banning lost to Carson in last season's Division I final at Dodger Stadium.
