San Diego Mojo lose in MLV semifinals, ending franchise's run after three seasons
The San Diego Mojo fell to the Dallas Pulse in Thursday's Major League Volleyball semifinals, ending their run as a franchise.
MLV announced last week that the club would not return to the league in 2027 despite owner Gary E. Jacobs' desire to take next season off and reorganize for 2028. The club fell 28-30, 25-18, 25-17, 25-10 to the hosts at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas. The Mojo qualified for the postseason twice in its three-year history.
Grace Loberg led the Mojo with 13 kills and one block while adding 10 digs. Jovana Brakočević added 11 kills and eight digs.
The Mojo won the opening set before falling victim to a 6-0 Dallas run in the second.
The Pulse kept it going in the third set and then cruised in the fourth, winning 25-10.
Dallas advances to face the Omaha Supernovas in the MLV Championship Final on Saturday. The match will air live on ION.
