Ryan Day Demands Change To College Football Postseason Schedule

Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes football program play as many College Football Playoff games as just about every program in the country.

The Buckeyes won the national championship two seasons ago, taking down Tennessee, Oregon, Texas and Notre Dame, en route to a title. Last season, Ohio State fell to Miami in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals.

But as the College Football Playoff continues to grow - there's talk of expanding it to 24 teams - Day is among those pushing for change.

Right now, the NCAA's transfer portal is open at the same time of the College Football Playoff in December and January.

Day is demanding that change.

The College Football Playoff national title-winning head coach believes that college football needs to figure out what it wants to be.

Does it want to be an amateur model or a pro model? Because the NFL has it figured out when it comes to coaching moves and free agency. That waits until after the season.

Day pushing for College Football Playoff schedule change

Day believes that college football "can still have an amateur model, but right now they're in between that and pro model and the sport needs to figure out where it wants to be in 10 years from now," Patrick Murphy of Bucknuts shared.

The Ohio State head coach added that "college football teams need to be done with the postseason before preparing the roster for the following season."

Several college football coaches have spoken out about this issue. It's unfair to make teams recruit players out of the transfer portal while also having to prepare for the College Football Playoff.

Something needs to change, schedule-wise.
