Padres minors: Sung-Mun Song hits first homer in States, Qrey Lott powers Storm
Sung-Mun Song hit his first home run in the States on Sunday in Triple-A El Paso's 4-3 loss at Albuquerque.
The home run was the only hit in four at-bats in the game for the 29-year-old Song, who is hitting .293/.364/.354 with four extra-base hits and 15 RBIs in 25 games.
He has swiped one base and has struck out 27 times against 11 walks.
Song played all of Sunday's game at second base, but he has seen time at shortstop and third base so far in the minors.
Song began the season on the injured list after reaggravating an oblique injury in spring training. After completing a 20-day minor league rehab assignment, he was officially optioned to El Paso.
Third baseman Will Wagner (oblique) went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk and a run scored in his second rehab game.
Right-hander David Morgan (0-1, 9.00 ERA) suffered the loss in his first game since a demotion to El Paso. He struck out two in the eighth but allowed a run on two walks and two hits.
Left-hander Jackson Wolf (4.88 ERA) allowed three runs in 4⅔ innings in the start.
Right-hander Garrett Hawkins (6.94 ERA) struck out a batter over a scoreless 1 ⅓ innings of work.
El Paso is 15-18.

King drove in four runs on two hits and Rodriguez drove in three runs on two hits. LHP Igor Gil (2-0, 2.19 ERA) struck out three over three perfect innings in relief for the win. RHP Clay Edmondson (0.75 ERA) saved his fifth game with two strikeouts in a scoreless ninth.

Storm 12, Ontario 10 (10): LF Qrey Lott (1.250 OPS) drove in six runs on five hits, including his first two home runs. 2B Justin DeCriscio (.956 OPS) hit his third homer. DH Luke Cantwell (.993 OPS) went 4-for-5 with a double. SS Jorge Quintana (.603 OPS) went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, two walks and three runs scored. 1B Truitt Madonna (.737 OPS) and RF George Bilecki (.734 OPS) both had three hits.
