Model Grabs Attention As Ball Girl At Madrid Open
While the action at the Madrid Open has been great, it appears a model has stolen the players' thunder at the Caja Mágica.
During the early stages of the 2026 Madrid Open, a woman by the name of Lucía Sastrón went viral for working as a "ball girl" for this Masters 1000 tournament. Some fans thought she looked awfully familiar. Others, meanwhile, were captivated by her appearance.
We're not kidding. There are countless posts about Sastrón on the platform formerly known as Twitter.
"My favorite part of Madrid Open this year," one person said.
"The 'ball kids' in Madrid are literally models," another person wrote on X.
"Did I really get the Instagram of the girl I see on TV at the tennis tournament?" someone commented on her Instagram page.
It turns out Sastrón was popular before the Madrid Open even started.
Sastrón, who currently has over 17,500 followers on Instagram, has turned heads in the past due to her work as a model.
Madrid Open wraps up this weekend.
The women's final will take place this Saturday with Mirra Andreeva and Marta Kostyuk. Their match is set to begin at 11 a.m. ET.
Andreeva nearly suffered an upset to Anna Bondar in the Round of 16, but she's been sharp ever since, defeating Leylah Fernandez and Hailey Baptiste without dropping a set. Kostyuk, on the other hand, has only dropped one set all tournament long.
As for the men's side of the draw, Jannik Sinner is the overwhelming favorite to win his third straight tournament.
