Shilo Sanders Blasts Browns Reporter Over Comments on Shedeur Sanders

Reports surfaced this week from Cleveland Browns reporter Mary Kay Cabot that veteran quarterback Deshaun Watson was emerging as the starter over Shedeur Sanders.

Cabot suggested the team should "declare" Watson the starter as soon as possible in order to "hit the ground running," adding that there is "no time to waste."

However, the report did not sit well with fans of Sanders, many of whom would prefer to see the second-year quarterback continue competing for the starting job, especially with it being only April.

Shedeur's brother, Shilo Sanders, also made a personal comment directed at Cabot, writing, "Go make me a sandwich, Mary."

He later expanded on his remarks during a Twitch stream:

"This is what I've been waiting to say all day, and this is to Mary Kay. If you're going to be a reporter, be a reporter and report facts,” Shilo said. “Whenever you give your opinion and it's always something negative toward Shedeur, it feels like there's an agenda.

"There are plenty of women in this field who take reporting seriously and do their homework, but with you, it's so much emotion,” he added. “I don't want you to make women look bad when it comes to reporting because you don't put in the work to report what's actually happening.

"At minicamp, they don't even have all the receivers. How are you going to say what you think is going to happen? Let Shedeur go practice. He shouldn't have to go on Instagram and Twitter and constantly see you bad-mouthing him - that's what I have a problem with."

Cabot later responded to Sanders' remarks, taking the high road.

"I really do believe that I have been an inspiration for lots of women and young girls to know that you can go out there and do a good job in a man's world and take on all of that that comes with that," Cabot said during an appearance on Cleveland's 92.3 The Fan on Thursday.

"I know so many women who have joined the football world, especially because of some of the things I've been able to do over the years. I'm happy about that.

"I'm just happy that I've been able to help set the tone and open some doors in that way, and I know that will continue. That's just how I feel about that."
