Caitlin Clark Announces Off-Court News Before WNBA Season

After playing just 13 games in 2025 due to injuries, WNBA star Caitlin Clark is now fully healthy and ready to start the 2026 season with the Indiana Fever.

Clark started for Indiana in its preseason game against the New York Liberty over the weekend. The 24-year-old guard recorded seven points, three rebounds, four assists and one block in 17 minutes of action.

The Fever have two more preseason games before they kick off the new campaign. They play the Dallas Wings on Thursday and the Nigeria Women's National Team on Saturday, both at Gainbridge FieldHouse.

As Clark prepares for her third season in the WNBA, though, she continues to make sure that her impact extends beyond the basketball court.

On Monday, Clark shared on her Instagram Stories that her foundation, the Caitlin Clark Foundation, has partnered with children's book publisher Scholastic and the United States of Readers for a "national reading" initiative.

"The Caitlin Clark Foundation is collaborating with @scholastic and The United States of Readers (USoR) to help students build a lifelong love for reading," the foundation stated in a post, which featured a photo of Clark holding a book while posing.

"This Spring, 26,000+ students across 50+ schools nationwide will be invited to join a shared national reading movement-receiving fully funded classroom book boxes and Caitlin Clark Foundation bookmarks."

Full details about the initiative, including the schedule, have yet to be revealed. However, Clark's foundation stated that more updates are coming soon.

The Caitlin Clark Foundation's main focus is "to uplift and improve the lives of youth and their communities through education, nutrition and sports." Indeed, the Fever star is doing everything she can to fulfill that mission.
