1. LA MIRADA (17-4)
The Matadores earned an important three-game sweep of Warren last week to improve to 6-0 in the Gateway League. If they can pull off a three-game sweep of Downey this week they will wrap up the league title. Michael Burgueno is leading the charge, batting .381 with 15 RBIs and three doubles

2. SOUTH HILLS (17-4)
The Huskies gave up only four runs during a three-game sweep of Colony, which included 17-0 and 3-0 wins. The Huskies lead the area with eight shutouts. They're 8-1 in the Hacienda League. They have a three-game series this week against Alta Loma this week that could help decide the league title. Alta Loma is 14-4-1 overall and 5-1 in league.

3. GANESHA (15-1-1)
The Giants posted back-to-back Miramonte League blowouts against Bassett 15-0 and Pomona 26-0 and is on cruise control until the playoffs start. They were No. 27 in last week's CIF-SS rankings, a big drop from No. 12 the previous week. The drop is likely due to their league schedule strength.

4. MARANATHA (17-4)
The Minutemen completed a three-game sweep of Village Christian to go to 8-1 in the Olympic League. They have won nine straight, which also includes a 9-5 win over Pacifica. Junio Yahir Treto is hitting .518 with three home runs and 18 RBIs.

5. SAN MARINO (17-5)
The Titans are one of the hottest teams in the area, having won seven straight. The streak includes a two-game sweep of South Pasadena to improve to 4-2 in the Rio Hondo League. If they want to compete for the league title they will have to do well with two games against La Cañada this week.

6. MONROVIA (13-4-1)
The Wildcats took a break from Rio Hondo League last week and split a pair of nonleague games. They beat Mayfair 2-0 and lost to Glendora, 4-3, in 10 innings. They're 5-1 in league with a pair of games against struggling South Pasadena next.

7. LA SALLE (16-5)
The Lancers face Bishop Amat on Wednesday and Friday and need one victory in those game to clinch the Del Rey League title. They played three nonleague games last week. After stumbling against Pasadena, 6-4, they defeated Alhambra 10-0 and La Cañada 6-4.

8. ARCADIA (13-9)
After going 1-3 in the Boras Classic, the Apaches returned to Pacific League play last week and lost two games to Burroughs, which snapped a 25-game league winning streak. They hope to rebound against Burbank before their showdown with Crescenta Valley next week.

9. CHARTER OAK (13-6-1)
The Chargers are taking care of business in the Valle Vista League. After sweeping Rowland, they swept Northview last week to go to 4-0 in league. They have a big nonleague test against Maranatha on Tuesday at Jackie Robinson field in Pasadena.

10. BISHOP AMAT (12-9)
The Lancers ended a five-game losing streak with three wins last week. After beating Fullerton, 7-6, in nine innings, they swept Serra in a pair of games to improve to 8-2 in the Del Rey League. They need to sweep La Salle (9-1) this week to win the league title.
