Oba Femi Calls Out Roman Reigns in Post-WrestleMania Interview

The man known as “The Ruler” is not satisfied with solely conquering a beast.

Next, he has his eyes on a chief.

Sunday at WrestleMania 42 was a star-making performance for the Nigerian former NCAA shot put champion.

After being scouted by WWE years ago, Femi has risen from the very bottom of the company’s developmental system to the cusp of becoming their next face.

Following a remarkable run in NXT where he was the brand’s champion twice and relinquished the belt the second time without being beaten, he’s somehow reached even greater heights quicker on the main roster.

From his strut to the ring to his impressive athleticism when he gets inside it, Femi has been fast-tracked as a future main eventer in the company.

That was never more evident than on Sunday when he shrugged off Brock Lesnar in a battle of the titans, with Femi putting away the former UFC heavyweight champion in less than five minutes.

In a post-show interview following Roman Reigns defeating CM Punk in an epic main event, Femi made his plans clear for the rest of 2026.

“I think tomorrow is a celebration,” he said. “I think in the coming weeks is the establishment of a new main event player. And I think at the end of the year, the OTC can get some!"

Femi and Reigns could be a match the WWE holds off on until this year’s two-night SummerSlam event in Minneapolis, Minnesota, or even later down the road, into 2027, with the next WrestleMania hosted in Saudi Arabia.
