Cowboys Rumors Shed Light on NFL Draft Trade Possibilities
The Dallas Cowboys are heading into this year's NFL Draft with two first-round picks, getting to choose at No. 12 and No. 20 in the current draft order.
However, speculation has swirled about Dallas potentially trading to move up much higher in the order to get the prospect they want. Talk has centered on David Bailey, who met with the Cowboys for a visit, but the team also has interest in several other top prospects.
On Sunday's episode of "SportsCenter," NFL insider Jeremy Fowler indicated that Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles and Miami's defensive end Rueben Bain Jr. are also on the Cowboys' radar.
Along with that, Fowler suggested that Dallas isn’t “necessarily tied to have to make a trade” when it comes to where they make their selections.

A few days ago, the NFL.com's mock draft suggested the team could choose Styles at No 12, and then add San Diego State cornerback Chris Johnson at No. 24. USA Today's mock draft suggests that the Cowboys would take Miami's Bain at the No. 12 spot and seemed to agree on Johnson as their No. 20 pick.
Bain, a 6-foot-2, 263-pound edge from Miami, rated highly after his recent standout season with the Hurricanes, which included them reaching the CFP National Championship Game. The NFL's official website gave him a 6.70 prospect grade and considers him a first-year starter in the league.
The 6-foot-5, 244-pound linebacker Styles has a somewhat lower grade at 6.48 and is considered someone with NFL upside who could "become a good starter within two years." However, he’s considered by many as the sixth-best available player in this NFL Draft.
While those other mock drafts seem optimistic for the Cowboys' chances of getting Styles, it appears Dallas might need to trade with another team that picks higher in the order.
There have been reports from The Athletic's Todd McShay and ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. projecting that Dallas would trade up to the sixth spot to draft Styles.
The first round of the NFL Draft arrives on Wednesday, with Cowboys fans eager to see what roster-building moves their team makes to address any deficiencies.
