Garret Anderson was truly loved by every baseball fan.

After it was confirmed that Anderson passed away, countless fans and media members posted heartfelt tributes online.

"Heartbreaking. Garret had a terrific career and was as classy as they come," MLB insider Ken Rosenthal said.

"Garret Anderson, one of the most revered Angels players, has passed away -- I really enjoyed getting to know GA over the years, heartbreaking to hear, love and prayers to the entire Anderson family," Angels reporter Taylor Blake Ward wrote.

"GA was a true pro. All class. Humble to a fault. Never swung at the first pitch to a fault, but he always found more than enough ways to swing back," an Angels fan commented. "Champion. Legend. 16 should've been retired long ago."

"Had arguably the most important hit in franchise history with his bases-clearing double in Game 7 of the World Series, which ended up being the game winner," one person added.

"GA is a certified Angel legend & will be forever & ever. So stoic, meant business always. In many ways what embodied what a ball player should always be about," another person said. "May he rest in peace. Gone way way way too soon."

There's no question Anderson's legacy on the diamond will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts are with Anderson's loved ones.
