Former San Joaquin Memorial star Jalen McMillan is headed to Tampa.

The Buccaneers selected McMillan in the third round with the 92nd overall pick of the 2024 NFL draft that emanated from Detroit.

McMillan comes a day after former Central High star Xavier Worthy was taken by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round.

McMillan, listed at 6-foot-1, helped University of Washington to the national championship game.

ESPN’s Matt Miller said he had McMillan as his No. 91 overall player and called it a value pick.

“Tampa Bay is set at wide receiver with veterans Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, and Trey Palmer looked great in his rookie season, but finding future starters is still key. McMillan, like Palmer, has really good vertical ability and will stretch the field from the slot for Baker Mayfield,” Miller wrote.

McMillan helped Memorial to a 12-2 record and the 2019 CIF Division 1-A North Regional finals.

He had 89 receptions for 1,644 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior.
