The Fresno Grizzlies apparently gave an assist to the Washington Huskies in its Pac-12 championship game on Friday night.

The old Grizzlies logo was shown in the fourth quarter.

The Huskies faced a 3rd and goal on Oregon’s 2-yard line with 2:47 remaining. Then the Grizzlies logo was shown — on TV.

On the ensuing play, Michael Penix Jr. completed a 2-yard pass to Quentin Moore to help the Huskies to a 34-24 victory over the Ducks in the Pac-12 championship at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Fans quickly spotted the Grizzlies logo and shared their thoughts, including former KFSN-30 sports anchor Tommy Tran.

Stephen Rice, the Grizzlies’ media relations director, is offering to send the Huskies their updated logo for their next game, possibly in the college football playoffs.

It is not a surprise because Kalen DeBoer was an assistant and head coach at Fresno State for several seasons before taking the job with Washington in 2022.
