Watch Fresno City College baseball rally for a walk-off win over Sacramento City

Leave it up to Arthur Navarette to complete the comeback for the Fresno City College baseball team.

The Rams scored two runs in the ninth inning Saturday, capped by Navarette’s walk-off single to left field for a 6-5 victory to complete a two-game sweep over Sacramento City in a nonconference junior college game at John Euless Ballpark.

“They’re constantly making adjustments and improving each and every game,” Rams first-year coach Mitch Karraker said. “We had some good early at bats, just hitting the ball hard at guys and they continued to stick with it and we were fortunate to be in a good spot there and had a guy deliver.”

Fresno trailed Sacramento City 5-2, but rallied in the eighth inning with two runs before adding the final two runs in the ninth.

The Rams improved to 7-2 and will face College of the Sequoias on Tuesday in the Central Valley Conference opener at Euless Ballpark.
