Former NBA center and noted Aussie Andrew Bogut correctly predicted the Denver Nuggets would sign countryman Jack White after an impressive showing at the Las Vegas Summer League.

Bogut also seems to think there’s a good chance the Kings will sign Matthew Dellavedova, his friend, fellow Australian and former Olympic teammate.

Few details have emerged since sources confirmed the Kings were expected to hold workouts with Dellavedova and two other NBA veterans during their stay at the Las Vegas Summer League. On the “Rogue Bogues by Andrew Bogut” podcast, Bogut said Sacramento could use someone like Dellavedova, noting that he has a previous relationship with Kings coach Mike Brown.

“I heard Matthew Dellavedova is being considered to sign with the Sacramento Kings,” Bogut said. “Mike Brown loves him. I have a feeling they might bring him in. They need someone that’s a pro every day. Harrison Barnes is that guy, but it would help to have another guy like that in the locker room with the young guys.”

Dellavedova, 31, is a 6-foot-4 point guard who spent eight seasons in the NBA. He played for Brown as a rookie with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2013-14. He appeared in the playoffs four times and won an NBA championship with the Cavaliers in 2016.

Dellavedova averaged 5.5 points, 3.7 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 447 career games. He is a 36.3% 3-point shooter with 400 career 3-point goals.

The Kings seem to be seeking a third point guard to provide depth behind De’Aaron Fox and Davion Mitchell. They were also expected to hold workouts with point guard Quinn Cook and forward Shabazz Muhammad.

Cook, 29, is a two-time NBA champion who has averaged 6.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists over five NBA seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans, Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Cavaliers. He won championships with the Warriors in 2018 and Lakers in 2020. He is a career 40.8% 3-point shooter.

Cook appeared in 11 games for the G League Stockton Kings last season. He averaged 23.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists while shooting 51.8% from the field and 44% from 3-point range.

Muhammad, 29, is a 6-6, 227-pound forward who spent five seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Bucks, averaging 9.0 points per game during his career. The Kings were believed to be looking for depth behind Barnes at the small forward position, but they have since signed KZ Okpala and Chima Moneke.
