Edison High unveils monument for ‘Day Day’ Howard

Family and friends of Deondre “Day Day” Howard gathered Friday at Edison High to see the unveiling of a monument in his honor.

The monument stands at the school’s baseball field.

Howard was shot and killed in 2015 at age 21.

The monument includes images of Howard in Edison baseball and football uniforms.

Howard also played for the Fresno City College baseball and football teams. His slaying in August 2015 remains unsolved.
