Pope Francis is adored and respected by many.

He has been an activist for environmental awareness and has helped the poor in many ways. His teachings have touched millions of people, and his humility and kindness has inspired his followers. Pope Francis has shown that he has made a choice to live with passion, and love with compassion.

Pope Francis has accomplished much in his lifetime so far. As stated on his website biography, he has “served as archbishop of Buenos Aires from 1998 to 2013, as cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church of Argentina from 2005 to 2013, and as president of the Bishops’ Conference of Argentina from 2005 to 2011.”

That’s a lot of titles for one person, but he has managed all of them because he is a natural leader. As well as that, has protested against modern slavery.

According to the article, “Pope Francis: Modern slavery is ‘becoming worse and worse every day’ by Mick Krever CNN, he says that it is a “ ‘crime against humanity’ and is ‘unfortunately getting worse every day.’ ”

According the same article, “He signed a declaration pledging to ‘inspire spiritual and practical action by all global faiths and people of goodwill everywhere’ to eradicate slavery by the year 2020.”

This information shows how he has chosen to live with passion and love with compassion.

The pope has inspired many people to live fully and to be kind to other people. He teaches them how mercy is a powerful thing. He shows kindness to homosexual people even though the Catholic Church is against it.

In the article, “Pope Francis: Who am I to judge gay people?” by BBC News, Pope Francis says while being interviewed, “If a person is gay and seeks God and has goodwill, who am I to judge?” He also states that “Gay clergymen should be forgiven and their sins forgotten.”

He has also shown kindness to atheists. According to the article, “With Blessing, Pope Shows an Openness to Other Faiths,” by Rachel Donadio, Pope Francis said, “Given that many of you do not belong to the Catholic Church, and others are not believers, I give this blessing from my heart, in silence, to each one of you, respecting the conscience of each one of you, but knowing that each one of you is a child of God.”

Pope Francis’ kindness is another reason why he has shown he has chosen to live with passion and in conclusion, Pope Francis has proven himself to be kind, caring and loving. His accomplishments have made our world a better place to live in and his loving and kind nature makes him an excellent leader. He is an advocate of love and peace, which is why he is a person who lives with passion and loves with compassion.
