Punish bad employers, not immigrants
I just saw Kellyanne Conway, Donald Trump’s campaign manager, give an interview. She stated that “people are tired of illegal workers, willing to work for lower wages and taking our jobs. Donald Trump is the only candidate in the last few years willing to speak about this and do something about this.”
Really! Why is the focus on an individual person here illegally trying to better his or her life? People are doing it only because businesses and employers are willing to break the law and hire them. Isn’t it easier to find and punish employers who break the law and not 10 or 100 or 1,000 individuals?
Why is their no mention of the businesses, employers who hire illegal workers? All it would take is one employer punished to fullest extent of the law (just like they want for the worker). Illegal workers would leave on their own if employers followed the law as it is already. All we need to do is enforce the existing laws of employment, and the problem is solved.
