Obamacare will be destroyed by reality

The Aug. 21 editorial in The Fresno Bee explaining that insurers are to blame for the crumbling heap that is Obamacare is incredibly inaccurate. Obamacare was never meant to be sustainable. It is impossible to insure more people with less cost.

I am one of the 8 million Americans who lost our plan because they no longer offered the plan that we purchased before Obamacare was offered. I had been working as a self-employed contractor since I lost my job due to the poor economy.

I had been looking for a way to provide for my family with health care for a while. I found a plan I could afford that covered all my doctors and my family’s needs. It was expensive; but I could afford it. After Obamacare, my deductible went up, my premiums went up and my four children went directly onto Medi-Cal.

It has made private, non-Obamacare health care costs too expensive for our family to afford. The taxpayer is now picking up part of my bill. I was providing for my own before and now I am taking a subsidy and Medi-Cal. That is not sustainable. Obamacare will be destroyed by one thing, reality.
