Hillary’s statist views turn me off
Many debate if Hillary Clinton would be a good president. Most of what has been argued and discussed are legitimate reasons to vote against her. Yes, that means some are not. But for me they are all extra stuff.
The reason I won’t vote for her is that she is a statist. In this political climate, that means, boiling it all down, she wants the government in charge of us. Her promises, people she hangs with, and those she respects show that. As an extreme liberal, she thinks it is her responsibility to force us into doing what she thinks is good.
This debate battle has been fought for a hundred years. Usually liberty and the Constitution won; with voters and many times in court. This time around though, many either want or don’t care if the government makes choices for them. And the numbers of those like her have grown.
Some say Donald Trump is deep down like her. Maybe, but his interviews from the last three years and those who know him say differently. If he only does half of his conservative promises, it will be better for individuals, society and the country than her statism.
