Trump’s ascent is evidence of racism in U.S.
The nomination of Donald Trump is positive proof and a sad reminder that racism is a major problem in the U.S. Trump appeals to our basest instincts of hate, fear and prejudice. He regularly incites political violence. He has repeatedly pledged to ban Muslims from the U.S. and has insulted a Gold Star mother. He is a serious threat to our liberty and justice.
I implore you to first look in the mirror and then at the words and behavior of Trump. Is he someone who has the experience, temperament, empathy, vision and strength to lead our nation during times of chaos and complexity?
“We the people” must take responsibility and have the courage and the determination to confront the danger that the Trump nomination represents. I urge you to support Hillary Clinton, the most capable, competent and caring candidate.
She has persevered during tough years of dedicated service to our nation and to the world, and has a proven track record of devotion to what truly matters most in America’s communities.
