Other cities have clean freeways, why not Fresno?
Every time I drive on freeways 168, 180, and 41, I get disgusted with the amount of dead weeds. Recently, we counted eight areas along 180 and 168 that had burned. Does City Hall not care about the fire danger these weeds cause? Do local leaders not care about how our city looks? Fresno looks like the neighbor that does not maintain his yard.
City Hall (or Caltrans) is violating Fresno codes – 621-8400, sections 9 and 10. Section 9 is about tall weeds; Section 10 is about dry, tall weeds. So, is the city going to fine itself (us the taxpayers)?
Why not clean up our freeways that our tax dollars pay for? Visalia doesn’t look like Fresno, Los Angeles doesn’t look like Fresno, San Diego doesn’t look like Fresno, Oakland doesn’t look like Fresno, nobody wants to look like Fresno! Fresno, clean up your freeways!
Use a gray water recycling system to water the vegetation. Use low-maintenance plants, shrubs, and trees to cover. Spray the weeds before they get to where they are at today. Be more like Visalia, Los Angeles, San Diego and Oakland, and have clean freeways.
