What I want in a president
Having read letters in The Bee trashing one presidential candidate or another, I will share instead what is important to me in a presidential candidate.
First, honesty about what they truly hope to achieve in office. Honesty about anything in their past that may influence their ability to lead this country and honesty about where our great country is headed with him or her at the helm.
Second, a candidate that is willing, whether politically correct or not, to address the real problems in our country and move forward with change so that all Americans feel safe and free of the threat of those that wish us harm.
Third, a candidate that wants this great country to remain just that. Great in every way so that Americans can rest easy knowing that our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will be safe and secure long after we’re gone.
There is only one candidate that I could in all good conscience vote for as the next president of the United States, and I will do so in November.
Melodee Bolton, Clovis
