Love Simonian’s back-to-school tips
Kudos to Jill Simonian on her 10 back-to-school tips in The Bee, July 23. I am especially impressed with No. 2 “Say ‘No’ ” and No. 3 “Check your wardrobe.”
A lesson in teaching kids the meaning of “no” is a life lesson in obeying adults – especially teachers, employers and the basic rule of law. As far as school wardrobe, the dress code must be obeyed and is a life lesson in respecting authority and the rules.
I have to cite No. 7 “Don’t be late” as another life lesson. Being on time to class, work and engagements is important as well as respectful of others.
