Xeriscape is freeway landscape solution

Susie Steffen (letter July 22) is right – Freeway 41 is a pig sty. Why not xeriscape the freeways like they have done in Phoenix, Arizona?

In Fresno, it’s nothing but litter and weeds like a Third World country. If someone not from here drove down the freeways they wouldn’t have a very good opinion of Fresno.

Now is the time to xeriscape the drought-ravaged freeway landscape instead of wasting water on weeds and trash.
