GOP is now a party of clowns and circuses
I’m old enough to notice the changes in presidential politics. For 2016, I’m hearing many ridiculous comments and rants from Donald Trump that give me reason to pause. Thb best word I can find to describe him is “clown.”
The Merriam Webster Dictionary definition of clown is: “Someone who performs in a circus, who wears makeup, and who tries to make people laugh. … a rude or stupid person.”
Bingo!
The Grand Ole Party is reduced to having to support a clown for president. Many level-headed Republican officials did not attend the circus known as the Republican National Convention. Even some from the San Joaquin Valley knew better than to tarnish their standing with their constituency.
In November, we could possibly see a landslide victory for the Democrats; many Senate and House seats are in play, too. All because of a clown.
