French Arabs are huddled in ghettos
The waive of unforgivable terror attacks in France belies a dark, equally unforgivable, reality. For all the sophistication in their culture, French society treats its native Arabic population – thoroughly French – just as badly as white America treated African-Americans during the Jim Crow era.
The native French Arabic population is huddled in ghettos and suffers from intense discrimination; the young population is unemployed at rates higher than 50 percent, and French society reminds their Arab citizens daily that it disrespects their religion.
France was a major colonial power in the Middle East and Northern Africa, and it continues to act as a colonial master to its current Arab population. While acts of terrorism should never be allowed, these factors create a lot of resentment, leading to acts such as what happened in Nice.
