Swearengin is allowing community to heal
Regarding your July 13 editorial, “Fresno needs to hear from mayor on police issues”: Leave Mayor Ashley Swearengin alone – for now. Whether intentional or not, our mayor is allowing time for community healing aside from any political jargon as usual.
We need to hear from our crying officers, and Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer is just the right man to be our healing-mediator. Inviting him to The Bee’s front page would be the honorable thing to do for now.
