Cartoon carried dangerous gag

I usually skip looking at the funnies page. Whenever my husband, who does enjoy the comics, chuckles uncontrollably at one of the cartoons, I often regret it when I go to see what he’s laughing about.

But on my way to the last page of Monday’s edition, I noticed the Rubes cartoon. It featured a burning lunch bag on the porch of the “Scatalogial Humor Society.”

Oh, great, I thought. This is not only not funny, it’s a dangerous gag to pass on. Too bad you had to print it.
