How about putting Fresno Unified students first?

I applaud Mackenzie Mays and The Bee for reporting that Fresno Unified has refused to release what it could pay for Harris Construction’s legal fees. This is something that should be reported to show that there is something Fresno Unified does not want us, the public, to know.

I wonder as to the legality of the indemnification clause, and wonder how and why it was put into the contract. This money may have been given by the taxpayers, but it belongs to students and it is the obligation of the school board and top administrators to put the students first.

Before every decision they make they should ask themselves, “How does this benefit the almost 74,000 students I serve?” In light of the dealings and decisions that have been and are being made, I wonder if that thought ever crosses their minds.
