I’m saving water, why not Clovis?
In response to the drought we have had these past few years, and I’m certain it is not over just because we had a good amount of rain this year, I removed my front lawn and replaced it with a lot of desert plants to save water.
I’m sure there are a lot of other homeowners who have done something similar for the same reason. Having said that, it gives me real good, fuzzy feeling to find out today that Clovis residents (who never reduced consumption of water to meet the quotas set by our governor) will now be allowed to water their yards three days a week.
Now isn’t that ducky? They break the rules and are rewarded for it. I bet that really makes the other homeowners who have made changes in their landscape feel good. This was not a good decision and evidently was not based on future water availability.
