Your garbage is your own problem

I would argue against the proposition of hiring people to patrol every house in the City of Clovis. Every house, street, block would need an excessive amount of workers to cover every neighborhood in Clovis. If this was to be done with Clovis, it would have to be done to Fresno also. How practical would it be to have several people to spend hours of the night to babysit trash cans?

The recycling bin is also mentioned, doesn’t it sound more beneficial for the homeowners go through and tuck away the cans that they want to recycle personally? This is a hasty generalization, as if every neighborhood in Fresno and Clovis has people going through their trash and leaving messes all throughout the city.

The city requires everyone to put their cans out the night before or before 6 a.m. There cannot just be one exception to the rule because the gentleman doesn’t want to pick up after essentially his own mess. It’s his garbage.

This is not a matter of stopping the people who go through this garbage, but a matter of personal responsibility and the willing to pick up after yourself at the end of the day.
