Bernie Sanders’ supporters attended over 30 rallies in California, held their “Bernie” signs, and even registered to vote. But they forgot one important thing. According to a front-page story in the June 9 San Francisco Chronicle, they either forgot or did not care to actually cast a ballot for their candidate.
Now I – along with many other Democrats – am a longtime supporter of Hillary and would never pass up a chance to vote for her, and we didn’t. We hope that those registered Democratic supporters of Sanders will remain Democrats and vote for Clinton in November.
Abstaining from voting is a vote for a Republican, whoever that may be.
