Saddened by Sanders’ loss

I am saddened by my California brethren. We had the opportunity to nominate a man in Bernie Sanders who represented true change to a broken system and was ready to bring revolution at the federal level.

By nominating Hillary Clinton, you have proven that the existence, and perpetuation of the oligarchy is acceptable to you, and that a continuance of the corruption and power gamesmanship predicated on moneyed interests is the way we should be governed.

It was fun, but I’ll be switching back to the Green Party and fully intend to cast my vote for Jill Stein in the general. I’ve long said that I don’t subscribe to the idea that “You have to choose between Tweedle-Dee or Tweedle-Dum because your guy *cannot* win,” but rather, I cast my vote for the individual most aligned with my ideals regardless of party affiliation or “ability to win.” Idealistic? Perhaps but this is a nation founded upon such.

This is not sour grapes. But I cannot ever vote for Clinton. However, in fairness to my friends who fully back her, I say congratulations and good luck!
