Trump speech comes up short

The presumptive Republican nominee for president of the United States visited Fresno and “whipped the crowd into a frenzy,” according to The Bee. Did he say or do anything that would encourage me to vote for him? The answer is an emphatic “no.”

He used the visit to continue his successful attacks on those who oppose him. Remember “Lying Ted” and “Little Marco”? By continuously repeating statements like these, the advertiser/propagandist establishes a false and desired image in the minds of his listeners.

Trump is already using that tactic on Hillary Clinton. Self-serving name-calling instead of plans to “Make America great again.” That is an advertising slogan, not a plan.

The only statements Trump made that are are worthy of mention are those that began with, “I will” or “I am.” This sounds more like bragging than plans for making America, and the world, a better place. I don’t believe that he is as wonderful, or as successful in business, as he proclaims that he is.
