Fresno State’s Castro promotes dialogue
In a city of over 500,000 people, it is often easy to overlook the sub-communities that are composed of only a few hundred. However, on June 2, Fresno State’s current president, Joseph Castro, came and spoke with members of the Jewish Federation.
He encouraged an open dialogue in which we were able to discuss various issues affecting Jewish students at the university. The evening served as a huge step in setting the stage for communication and increasing cultural awareness.
