There is a third presidential choice

If we elect another Democrat or Republican as our president nothing will change. It is insulting to the idea of America that we have allowed two political parties to establish a monopoly over the electorate.

It is a fact that if you run for office as a third party candidate you will lose. By snuffing out competition through financial and other corrupt means the parties have gained control over the electorate.

Every election we hear the clamor for a third party, but does it ever happen? Of course not. We complain and make jokes about the candidates, but we perpetually vote for the status quo. Many voters disagree with their party’s platform, but still they vote for their party.

Why? There is no viable alternative. This year there is: Libertarian presidential candidate and former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson. The Libertarian Party is closest in ideology to that of the Founding Fathers. Libertarians believe that an individual is free to rise or fall on his own merits and that government should be kept out of our bedrooms and personal lives.
