Students help Animal Compassion Team
This year Alethea Traskin’s classroom at Manchester Manchester Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) donated to Animal Compassion Team, which helps animals. To help ACT, we put a bin for dog toys and a bin for newspapers and all together we donated over 59 items for the animals.
We also decided to watch the movie “Star Wars: A New Hope.” For the movie, we had people pay $3 every morning recess for two weeks and $4 if we bought tickets at the door. At the movie, we sold popcorn, lemonade and chips so we could get more money for ACT.
We donated over $650. Altogether, we donated a lot of money and items by donating two different ways and we helped ACT a lot.
