Fresno aquarium groundbreaking
I’m very excited about the Fresno Aquarius Aquarium. After several years of fundraising, they will be breaking ground Wednesday on the aquaculture building.
What is special about this project is that schools and families will be able to visit it in the future, because not everyone can go to Monterey to see the aquarium there, especially schools because of the distance. Fresno State and University of California, Merced are excited about this project. Their students studying oceanography will be able to utilize the aquarium.
There are two ways to support the aquarium (please contact Aletha Lang, no relation, at alang@aquariusaquarium.org). You can buy a brick in the name of someone special. You could even buy one with a family name. Also, how about celebrating a couple’s 25th, 35th, 40th or 50th wedding anniversary? How about as a wedding gift? As a graduation gift? Christening gift?
You can also support the aquarium through a membership. If you support the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, then this is another way to bring something special to the area for generations to come. Don’t forget; it’s tax deductible.
