Steve Brandau for mayor, please
Fresno City Councilmember Steve Brandau is 100 percent right regarding “slum housing.”
I am a process server, and I work south Fresno. Every Section 8 apartment I go to is absolutely filthy. Kentucky Fried Chicken boxes and buckets, candy and burger wrappers, dirty diapers, cigarette butts, and beer and soda cans are everywhere.
When some people open the door, all I see is filth and infants crawling in it! The carports are littered when there’s a trash dumpster a few feet away. How many times have the taxpayers rebuilt the Section 8 housing across from Veterans Hospital?
Within a few years, it’s back to being uninhabitable. Who’s fault is that? When are the tenants held accountable for the rats, roaches, ants and other insects or vermin?
Steve Brandau, please run for mayor!
