Crack down on water wasters
While the city of Fresno focuses on blighted properties and slumlords, the streets and gutters continue to flow with water runoff from sprinklers. I work the streets of Fresno daily and am appalled at the waste of our precious water flowing down the block to the nearest storm drain!
The Fresno Water Conservation team has “no teeth” in enforcing the watering rules for Fresno, and it should take a long hard look at Fresno’s habitual water wasters. They should start imposing hefty fines before Fresno becomes another East Porterville, or Madera Ranchos, where not long ago water was being trucked in. Turn off the faucets!
